బొబ్బిలి మహారాజులు అధికార గర్వంతో పరిపాలిస్తున్న కాలమది, బొబ్బిలి మహారాజులు మరియు విజయమహారాజుల మధ్య అధికారం కోసం కొన్ని విభేదాలు పడుతున్నారు. ఈ కారణాల వల్ల బొబ్బిలి యుద్ధం జనవరి 23, 1757 లో ప్రారంభమైంది. యుద్ధసమయంలో బొబ్బిలి కోట పూర్తిగా నాశనమైంది మరియు అనేకమంది సైనికులు చనిపోయారు.

విజయరామరాజు భార్య మరియు చెల్లెలు "శ్రీ పైడిమాంబ" యుద్ధాన్ని ఆపటానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. కానీ రాజు వినకుండా యుద్ధాన్ని కొనసాగించాడు. ఆ సమయంలో చెల్లెలు "శ్రీ పైడిమాంబ"కు మసూచి అనే అంతుపట్టని వ్యాధి సోకింది. ఆమె పూజలో ఉన్నపుడు తన సోదరుడు రామ రాజు యుద్ధంలో ఆపద తప్పదని ఊహించి వెంటనే పతివాడ అప్పల నాయుడుని ఒక గుర్రపు బండితో తన సోదరుడికి విషయాన్నీ తెలియచేయమని పంపింది. కానీ అప్పటికే తాండ్ర పాపారాయుడు చేతిలో రామ రాజు మరణించాడు. అది తెలుసుకున్న పైడిమాంబ స్పృహ కోల్పోయింది

పతివాడ అప్పల నాయుడు ముఖం పై నీరు చిలకరించాడు. స్పృహలో నుండి బయటకువచ్చిన పైడిమాంబ ఆయనతో ఇకపై నేను నివసించలేను నా ఆత్మను దేవుడిలో అంకితం చేస్తున్నాను అని తనువును చాలించారు. ఆమె ఒక చేపలు పట్టే వ్యక్తికి చేపల చెరువులో పైడిమాంబ విగ్ర దొరికింది. అక్కడే పైడిమాంబ ఆలయాన్ని నిర్మించారు. శ్రీ పైడితల్లి అమ్మవారి దేవస్థానంగా విజయనగరంలో ప్రసిద్ధిగాంచినది.

English Information About Temple:

At that time Bobbili Maharajas were ruling with full power. There are some differences between Bobbili Maharajas and Vanagaram Rage regarding power. Because of those differences and some reasons, Battle of Bobbili started in January 23, 1757. During the buttinendive Bobbili fort got destroyed and many Bobbili soldiers died in the battle. 4

The wife of Vijaya Rama Raju and Sister Sri Pydimamba tried to stop the battle by hearing the news but could not succeeded. By that time Sri Pydimamba sister of Vijayaramaraju was suffering from Masuchi disease. While she was in the puja of Goddess she came to know that Vijayaramaraju is in trouble. She wanted to inform her brother regarding this and tried to convey the message through Vizianagaram soldiers, but everyone was in the battle. So She started with Patiwada Appalanaidu to convey the message in a horse cart. But, by the time she reached, she got the news that her brother Vijaya Rama Raju died in the hands of TandraPapaRayudu. She fell unconscious

Patiwada Applanaldu sprinkled water over her face and she came to conscious stage and told Appalanaidu that she does not want to Ove anymore. She then engrossed her soul in Goddess. Her statue was found at the west bank of Pedda Cheruvu (A pond located at the beart of Vizianagaram lies on the west side of Vizianagaram Fort). The fishermen found the idol of Pydimamba and constructed a temple called "Vanam Gudi" for goddess, at Vizianagaram Railway Station which was the first temple for Pydimamba, the second temple is located at three lanterns junction.

Rama Teertham|రామతీర్ధం

Sri Rama Swamy, the prominent pilgrim center of the Ramayana, is devoted to the deity a nd the devotees. Ramateertham is one of the places made sacred by a traditional connecti on with Rama. The temple and village at the base of a chain of hills of solid rock on which are some perennial springs of water, and various places each in a way associated with the name of Rama. The Jains have also had a residence here, their remains consisting chiefly o f natural caves with slab sculptures set in them, and some small ruined brick temples. It is one of the few places in this direction where Jaina remains exist. It was hitherto unkn own that these remains were Buddhist, and this only discovered in last season. Since that time, excavations have been conducted and resulted in the unearthing of an extensive part of what has undoubtedly been a large and important Buddhist monastery.
