ఆలయ చరిత్ర

శ్రీ జగన్నాధ ఆంజనేయ & వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి వార్ల దేవస్థానం గుంటూరు జిల్లానందు గల లాలాపేట, కొత్తపేటలో ఉన్నాయి. ఈ ఆలయంలో ముగ్గురు దేవతామూర్తులు కౌలువైయున్నారు, వారు శ్రీ జగన్నాథ స్వామి, ఆంజనేయ స్వామి & వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి,

మొదటగా ప్రతి దేవునికి వేరు వేరుగా మఠాన్ని స్థాపించారు. మొట్టమొదటగా శ్రీ పద్మావతి అండాళ సమేత శ్రీ వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి మఠాన్ని స్థాపించారు. తరువాత కొత్తపేటలో " శ్రీ జగన్నాధ స్వామి " మఠాన్ని మరియు కొత్తపేట ట్యాంక్ గ్రౌండ్ ముందు ఆంజనేయ స్వామి మఠాన్ని స్థాపించారు. అందువలన ఈ మఠాలు గుంటూరు నందు చాలా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందాయి. స్థానిక నాయకుడైన 'శ్రీ వాసిరెడ్డి వెంకటాద్రి నాయుడు, 1719 లో ఈ మరాలను సందర్శించి గుంటూరు ప్రాంతంలో 300 ఎకరాలు విరాళంగా ఇచ్చారు.

ఆ తరువాత కాలంలో ప్రజలు వారి వారి కోరికలను నెరవేర్చుకొనుటకు, లక్ష్యాలను సాధించుటకు మరియు అభివృద్ధి చెందుటకు ఈ మూడు మకాలను దర్శించేవారు. ప్రస్తుతం, అయోధ్య జగన్నాథ దాసు బాబాజీ & శ్యామల దాసు, భగవాన్ దాసు బాబాజీ వారసులు ఈ మఠాల్లో అర్చనలు చేస్తున్నారు. వైశాఖ మరియు ఆషాడ మాసాలు ఈ ఆలయాలకు చాల ముఖ్యమైనవి మరియు ఈ మాసాల్లో బ్రహ్మోత్సవం మరియు రధోత్సవం ఘనంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు.

HISTORY OF TEMPLE

Sri Jagannatha, Anjaneya & Venkateswara Swamy temple is located in Lalapet, Kottapet, Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh. The Temple comprises deities of 3 devatha moorthy's, Sri Jagannatha Swamy, Anjaneya Swary & Venkateswara Swamy. Initially they started the Mattas for each & every deity uniquely.

First & foremost they built "Sri Padmavathi Andal Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy" and then in Kottapeta they built the "Sri Jagannatha Swamy" Mattam and infront of Kottapeta tank ground they built Anjaneya Swamy mattam. In 1795 AD Sri Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu, a local ruler, visited these Mattams and gave 300 acres to these mattams in Guntur.

Currently, Ayodhya Jagannatha Dasu Babaji & Syamala Dasu, Bhagawan Dasu Babaji family were doing Archakatwam in these mattams. The temple is very famous for Vaisakha Masam & Aashadamaasam and they celebrate a big festivals like Brahmotsavam, Rathotsavam to the devotees in these Maasam's.

After separation of Telangana, in Guntur city these Mattam's are developed by the endowment department of Andhra Pradesh to facilitate the increasing number of devotees.

Temple will be open from 06:00 AM to 11:30 AM every day in the morning and in the evening from 05:00 PM to 08:30 PM. Every Tuesday, Saturday, and during the festival Temple will be open from 05:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the morning and evening from S:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam

Temple will be open from 06:00 AM to 11:30 AM every day in the morning and from 05:00 PM to 08:30 PM in the evening. Every Saturday and during the festival, temple will be open from 6:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the morning and from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM in the evening.

Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy vari Devasthanam Mangalagiri

Temple is located 21 KM away from Guntur. The temple of Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy is situated on the h ill. On the right side of the steps provided to reach the temple, there is a stone inscription by Sri Krishnadeva Raya of Vijayanagar and a little further up, the foot prints of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya are to be seen. Midway on the steps there is a temple of Lord Panakala Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy there is only the face with the mouth widely opened. A dhwaj asthambham was erected in front of the temple in 1955.

Behind the temple there is the temple of Sri Lakshmi, to the west of which there is a tunnel which is believed to lead t o Vundavalli caves on the banks of the Krishna. The stone inscription of the kings of Vijayanagar relate besides to the conquest of Rayalu over Kondapalli etc., that Siddhiraju Thimmarajayya Devara granted a total of 200 kunchams (10 kunchams make one acre) land in 28 villages of which Mangalagiri was one and gift of 40 kunchams by China Thirum alayya to Ramanujakutam.

ఈ ఆలయం గుంటూరు నుండి 28 కిలో మీటర్ల దూరంలో వుంది. ఈ ఆలయ ప్రధాన దేవతామూర్తి అ యిన శ్రీ పానకాల లక్ష్మి నరసింహ స్వామి కొండ మీద కొలువై వుంటారు. ఆలయ గుడి మెట్ల నుండి కుడివైపున శ్రీ కృష్ణదేవరాయల మరియు కొంచెం పైకి వస్తే అక్కడ శ్రీ మహాప్రభు చైతన్య యొక్క పాద ముద్రలు చూడవచ్చును. మెట్ల మార్గ మధ్యంలో మోహము మాత్రమే కనపడుతూ, నోరు పెద్దగా తెరచి ఉ న్న శ్రీ పానకాల లక్ష్మి నరసింహ స్వామి వారి ఆలయం ఉంటుంది. 1955 లో దేవాలయం ఎదుట ఒక ధ్వ జసంబంధం ఏర్పాటు చేయబడింది.

ఆలయం వెనుక శ్రీ లక్ష్మి దేవాలయం ఉంది. ఈ ఆలయానికి పశ్చిమాన ఒక పెద్ద సొరంగం ఉందని అది కృష్ణా నదిపై ఉన్న ఉండవల్లి గుహలకు దారితీస్తుందని భక్తుల నమ్మకం. విజయనగర రాజులకు సంబందించిన రాతి శాసనాలపై వారి రాజు అయిన శ్రీ కృష్ణ దేవరాయలు కొండపల్లిని ఆక్రమించిన ఘటన గురించబడింది.

Sri Amareswara Swamy vari Devasthanam Amaravathi

Temple is located 35 KM away from Guntur. The Amaravati Amareswara Temple is located in the Guntur district of And hra Pradesh. This important pilgrimage centre thrives on the bank of the sacred Krishna River which flows along this t own. You are sure to enjoy a visit to this temple which is thronged by a large number of devotees everyday. At one p oint of time Guntur was an important Buddhist center. However with the accession of Hindu Rajas to the throne, there was a shift in focus. The presence of the Amareswara Temple near the Buddhist Stupa stands witness to the fact that there was a revival of Brahmanism in the region. The temple was constructed in the 8th century when Buddhism had declined. For all these centuries, people have visited the temple regularly to offer their prayers.

ఈ ఆలయం గుంటూరు నుండి 106 కిలో మీటర్ల దూరంలో వుంది. అమరావతి అమరేశ్వర ఆలయం ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ లోని గుంటూరు జిల్లాలో ఉంది. ఈ ముఖ్యమైన యాక్షా కేంద్రం, పవిత్ర కృష్ణా నది ఒడ్డున కలదు. భ క్తులు ప్రతిరోజు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో ఈ దేవాలయాన్ని సందర్శించడానికి విచ్చేస్తారు. ఒకానొక కాలంలో గుంటూరు ఒక ముఖ్యమైన బౌద్ధ కేంద్రంగా ఉండే "తర్వాత కాలంలో హిందూ రాజులు సింహాసనాన్ని అ దిష్టించిన తర్వాత పరిస్థితిలో మార్పు వచ్చింది. బౌద్ధ స్థూపం సమీపంలో అమరేశ్వర దేవాలయం ఉంటుంది. ఈ ప్రాంతంలో బ్రాహ్మణత్వం పునరుద్ధరణ ఉందన్న వార్తవానికి సాక్ష్యంగా తెలుస్తుంది. బౌద్ధమ తం తగ్గిన 8 వ శతాబ్దంలో ఈ ఆలయం నిర్మించబడింది. అప్పటినుండి ప్రజలు తమ కోరికలను తీర్చుకునేందుకు ఈ ఆలయాన్ని సందర్శిస్తున్నారు.

Undavalli Caves

The Undavalli Caves, a monolithic example of Indian rock-cut architecture and one of the finest testi monials to ancient vishwakarma sthapathis, are located in the village of Undavalli. In Tadepalle Mand al in the Guntur District, and near the southern bank of the Krishna River in the state of Andhra Prad esh, India. The caves are located 6 km south west from Vijayawada, 22 km north east of Guntur Cit y.

The most striking feature of the cave is the 5 meter long statue of Buddha. Another prominent attra ction of the cave is Vishnu, a sculpture of Sri Vishnu who is made with a single granite stone.

Bhavani Island

Bhavani Island is a popular picnic spot, where children can run around carefree while adults can enjo y the energising and refreshing ambience. Situated in Krishna River, the island is quite close to Prak asam Barrage. There are great boating facilities, which allow visitors to explore the river. The swimm ing pools on the island are well-maintained and clean. Visitors, who do not want to spend time in the pools, can opt for other water sports.
